Privacy
Knockpace is a canvassing app. We store your account, org membership, live location while you share it, signed work authorizations, and a Crew plan's pins, jobs, and turf on Google Cloud (Cloud Run and Cloud SQL) in the United States.
A Crew plan's pins include what your crew writes at the door: address, status, notes, follow-up times, and any owner name or phone number they enter. Everyone on that crew can see them. Photos and drawings stay on the phone that took them. Community pins stay on the device. Live GPS is off until you turn it on and stops when you turn it off. We stop showing a shared location as live after 10 minutes.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account id, verified email, and name. If you pay, Stripe processes the card; we store customer and subscription ids, not the full card number.
The street map is OpenStreetMap, drawn from OpenFreeMap tiles. Street addresses come from Geocodio through our server, which sends it only the map spot. Radar is NWS NEXRAD from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet. The forecast is the National Weather Service, through our server. Storms are National Weather Service spotter reports. Building outlines are OpenStreetMap. Owner, deed, year built, and value are the public property record where it is published: Travis County, Texas; Washington, DC; Maryland; and Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, and Prince William in Virginia. Our app asks those county and state map servers for the spot you tap.
Income, tenure, and home value are Census Bureau statistics for the block. Shading compares that block with nearby blocks. The roof figure is the flat outline. A storm row is a spotter report. These public figures can be missing or wrong.
These services get the map spot you look at, not your name or account. Building outlines come from OpenStreetMap, cut by our server out of the same OpenFreeMap tiles that draw the map. The census block is found with the FCC, and its figures and outline load from the Census Bureau through our server. This product uses the Census Bureau Data API but is not endorsed or certified by the Census Bureau. If your phone will not share its location, the demo asks ipwho.is for a rough spot from your IP address.
